Smucker Company deeply appreciates the overwhelming number of condolences and offers of help after the sudden loss of our friend and colleague, Sean Murphy.
It will take a long time for the shock waves to subside and for each of us to make sense of this tragedy on a personal level. On the other hand, the support system here at Smucker Company has been outstanding. Many people have stepped in to pick up the pieces and it won’t be long before operationally we are back to our normal pace.
This will not be true for Sean’s family. The lives of his wife, Connie and three daughters have been forever and completely changed and they face many difficult days. They face an unexpected and unthinkable new reality and a long struggle to find ways to manage and live with the pain. They also have many questions about their future and how they will cope financially.
Many of you have asked how you can help. Your financial support is needed and will have a big impact to help the family through this crisis.
